Kotagiri
is situated on the North Eastern crest
of the Nilgiris plateau at on elevation of 1990 Metres. Kotagiri, with its
bracing climate occupies of this a position as the best in the Nilgiris and the
second best in the world among at the Hill stations. This station has been
promised as having the most salubrious and agreeable climate from the time of
Lord Dalhousie who preferred the cool Kotagiri to be should capped stations on
the Himalayan slopes.
