Sriramapuram is Located inthe Dindigul District of Tamil Nadu State. It is one of the most important Agriculture center of Tamil Nadu. The Town is situated at a distance of 20 kms to the South of Dindigul and lies on the Madurai- Thirupur Road and at the intersection. Sriramapuram had started off as a second grade Townpanchayat as R.O.C. No.83A/66F2, Dt.29.3.67 of Director of state development. 1st grade townpanchayat as per proceedings of the Director of Rural development Roc.No.43223/69 Dt.16.9.69. Spread over an area of 16.89 Sq.km, with a population of 10659 as per 2011 census, consisting 5304 men and 5355 women. The town was delineated to 15 Administration wards. The Local Body Elections were held on 25.10.2011 for the posts of Townpanchayat Chairman and 15 ward Councilors.
