Town History
Vengambur is one of important Town
Panchayats in Erode district and is famous for the Agriculture. This town
panchayat lies on the Erode to Karur Main road between Kodumudi. Many of the
people are weavers and farmers.

after by a town level committee which was found in 1982. At present the area of
the Town Panchayat is 17.14 sq km. The town is
divided into 15 election wards in the year of 1996.
